France Photography Workshop

Autumn in Occitanie

3 – 10 October 2026

You are invited to join us for a unique and very special photography workshop in southwest France October 2026!

Our workshop will be based in Albi, in the department of Tarn and the region of Occitanie.

This is one of our favourite areas of France and we’ve been there many times, including leading previous photo workshops, tours and retreats.

We are sure that you will love it!

Albi is about an hour’s drive, or train from Toulouse, France’s 4th largest city and also a wonderful place to explore. (We may plan for a day there… TBC.)

We will officially begin the workshop the morning of Saturday 3rd October 2026.

Ruth and I will arrive earlier that week and you are welcome to do the same. We can work with you one-to-one to arrange your individual travel plans.

The nearest major airport is Toulouse-Blagnac. It’s up to you to make your own way to either Albi or Toulouse, where we can meet you at the airport or arrange ground transfer.

Ideally, if everyone is arriving at the Toulouse airport on the same day, we would meet at the airport and all travel together to Albi… this element is a work in progress.

The workshop will conclude the following Saturday 10th October around midday.

So during the workshop we will have seven days and seven nights together.

LOCATIONS
Along with Albi, we will visit and explore some of the region’s most interesting and exciting places including:

  • Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val
  • Cordes-sur-Ciel
  • Carcassonne
  • Najac

…all with plenty of time for photography! We will also include plans for non-photography activities so everyone will have the most in-depth, comprehensive experience of the locale.
